Felony charges dropped against woman from Ventura
Charges have been dropped against a Ventura woman who was accused of illegally transferring customer purchases, contracts and commission accounts from her employer at the time, Wholesale Cellular, over to a then-new company, the Yak Shack.
Saundra Ann Simoni, 43, had been charged with felony theft of trade secrets, embezzlement and perjury.
A clerk with the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office said Tuesday that the charges were dropped April 28.
Simoni’s lawyer, Ron Bamieh, said the criminal charges should never have been filed against his client. He said the district attorney dismissed the charges after the hearing.
"The complaining witness lacked credibility," Bamieh said.
